Well, the confession was made by you, while someone else banned him for the demo - Thats what I thought. But yer right, it's your servers, you can do whatever you want with them. I just find it as hard to believe he's cheating as much as you think he does + he's an asshole. We're pretty much doing the same thing as you guys are doing, just that we don't take the game away from you. The difference is that we're whining to get you annoyed, as the banned one obviously is somewhat annoyed already. ^^

A suggestion. Take the noscore server and fill it with the maps you like, while you take back the old maprotation to the other, then you would get more cheering and less swearing.

Ye, there are many servers with the standad setup of AQ2(cliff2, cloud etc) But none of them are as good as the catchgamers, ex- BoomTown, wich seems gone? If I had the right connection wich unfortunatly I don't (8/1) I wouldn't hesitate 1 sec to make servers for all kinds. I go years back with the game, and it's evolved to a much more higher level now than befor. It's much more of a competition to play public/cw, since skillwise everyone is good and above the usual 1 year from birth standard. Most of the players are used to this gamestyle now, and thats whats keeping them playing atm. That gamestyle includes the common maps such as Cliff2, cloud, etc. Of course I can only speak for myself, but it would really suprise me if it's not like that.

@dev: The rotation is back to normal. Haven't checked the CW-servers but there you vote anyways.
The guy over at catch-gamers who did the work wasn't experienced with AQ2 servers and didn't realize that the config files referenced the same ini-file. And since he's not an AQ2 player himself, the problem wasn't discovered right away. It took about a day for it to be fixed, which isn't much when it comes to a free service.

Not completely on topic, but the BT servers have a binary incompatibility it seems. The circumstances regarding access to the box is making it difficult to fix...

And as I said earlier, I had no idea what kind of person aka was when I watched the demos and made up my mind on that matter. I have since said that his attitude and behaviour he displayed afterwards was abnoxious and reason enough to ban him, at least for a while. And since a ban in AQ2Admins have much greater impact than just a 1-2 server ban we try to be careful. I don't see it as a valid argument that it's an old player. Remember Potetball (just to give you one example...)?

Potetball, good point. Though, I don't think/believe aka is cheating. It's not that he is a longtimer only - I think he's innocent. The reason for his behaviour is that he got banned for "no reason" Well anyway, thats old now and I guess it aint to much left on the ban. *waves white flag*
