Forgotten(?) maps!

I felt a bit nostalgic today, when playing 2on2 against Mobsters and they chose River as their homemap.

Therefore I started thinking that why dont people play these older maps that still (in my opinion) still would flow and play pretty well.

I listed some maps that I would still like to see played somewhere sometime...

Civilwar (my long time favorite)

Bronx

Cinema

Gap

Lighthouse

Passin

Teamdepo

Winter

Some good old maps in there like civilwar and the infamous bronx with the fun skateramp.

BTW teamdepo and lighthouse is in the maprotation on catchgamer modern classic afaik :-)

Most of those maps were played in pickup games lately(!). Bronx was always popular in Slovenian scene, Teamdepo is Austrian first map, etc.
Even Gap was on at DA main few times. Though the problem is people don't know how to play them and simply excuse themselves by saying it's too slow and campy.

But hey, go play a pickup game, ANY map is possible to be played there.

first maps released with action:
actcity2-3,armyterr, asylum,blockwar, bxtrain2,chriscity3,city,cliff2,downtown,hostile,lavatube, lighthouse,murder,rhcity1,riot,ruins3,subway99, teamdepo,teamjungle,tokyo,urban1-2-3,village.

i loved all of these.

actually cg got teamdepo in mapcycle so i play it quite often.
have not played winter since way back though.

and ping is not so bad there... id play much more on cg
