eeeh... no? it's 8ms, which means that it's 1/8 frames per ms... or 125 FPS, and that's the absolute max, if you go from the screen being a certain color (only that color) to a certain color. In a real-life situation your actual screen refresh migh be as low as half of that....

Well.... one of the best things to look at, when your searching for LCD-display for gaming and so on, is the LCD-panel

Most LCD-displays, use MVA, PV, PV+ LCD-panels.
Even though the responcetime is short, the display might not be good for gaming and movies.
The reason for that, is that the responcetime of ALL LCD-displays are measured in 262.000 colours. And thats not near all the colours the display can deliver.
That means that if you watch movies or are playing ditailed games, that use MORE coloursvariations the responcetime differs substancially.... not just 1ms or 2.... alot more....

The only LCD-panel that is measured in the MAXIMUM colours that the display can deliver, is the S-IPS panel. Therefor normally it has higher responcetime than smaller displays. But SOOOOOO much better for games and movies...
The only bad thing about that panel is that its rather more expensive than all the others, but then again, so much better.

For an example NO 19" displays use S-IPS panels. Only VERY few 17" (for some strange reason). From 20-21" display the manufactores starts putting the S-IPS panel in the displays. And ALL bigger displays use them. Because of the better quality and the ability for getting a better picture, when the pixels get larger do to the bigger screensize.

If you have found a LCD-display that you wanna what LCD-panel is in it, try www.prad.de !
Its german, but the best guide out there....
