Movie Codec

Post by Picer »

Im having real problems watching movies through the internet. Allso called streaming. Either i get sound and no picture, or all sound and some fucked up colors. Both when i use Opera and (hssss) IE. Any tips, maybe a link to a nice codec?

I use FireFox, other than that I've just installed the latest divx/xvid drivers. Everything works just smooth.

Might be the browser, I doubt it's about codecs, since it's streaming. And real is a full package, same as with mov/mp4 and the ones from windows media player don't need anything.
Take a look through the stream settings of your browsers, or just go to the safe side getting Firefox.

Its opera, shouldn't exactly be a problem. Downloaded the newest divx codecs. Didn't help.

And im not changing to Firefox.

ffdshow.sf.net (ffdshow) shows just about everything... or so I've heard... if you have the same problem in both IE and opera it's almost certainly a codec problem.

mplayer-plugin ftw... (linux :P )
