If you can't be arsed to read that no one cares that you think everything is doomed to failure and we all lack the eloquence and insight that only you can provide on the state of online gaming in relation to Action Quake 2, let me summarize:

No one cares what you think. The point you bring up was already brought up by people without rAndoM caPitAliZatioNs in their name and they, frankly, did a better job of it.

I continue to post updates on what I'm doing as an FYI for any interested parties. If you're not interested, as the Brits would say, bugger off!

I'd say it's just in a generation change.
you have no idea how many 11-15 kids I have on my msn or ban each day

(even a seven year old)
it's amazing..
the action quake is dying part is just a "feeling" we oldschool guys get when seeing other wellknowed people/clans stopp playing.
so it sure isnt the same anymore

I see u dont know me that well, i dont care what ppl think. Im just telling the truth. Its D E A D, face it. Trying to save this game will end up with nothing. Spend your precious time on anything else and play the game for fun and take it for what it is.

AQ2W 'hosting' those sites might not bring the old days back, but it surely is a positive move to do. The game's been dying for several years and yet it's alive and kickin so quit saying that already.

No, I don't know you at all. Why are you assuming doing this stuff means we don't play the game for fun and don't take it for what it is, a 10-year-old Quake 2 mod that was once popular and now isn't? Like I said before, did you even bother reading anything in this thread? At all?

No one's trying to "save" anything. You don't have to know me well at all to see that I previously explicitly stated that I do this kind of stuff often primarily for ME and if the remaining community gets a benefit, all the better. I also explicitly stated, I believe, that I enjoy arguments!

To me, this kind of crap is "fun". If you're so convinced that the game is D E A D why are you 1) reading a post about the game and 2) even lurking on a forum DEDICATED to the aforementioned game. Why don't you spend your precious time on anything else? No, really, please, anything else besides posting here!

Or are you here to perform public service annoucements for people who are not quite aware that AQ2 is about a decade old and not as popular as it once was? Because, golly, until you let us know, we had no idea! Whew! I guess maybe it IS a good thing you're keeping us up to date!

People have declared that AQ2 was dead the second that ATeam started working on AHL, or once CS started releasing its betas, or when Quake 3 came out, or... etc. etc. etc. Been there, done that. I haven't heard the AIDS/AID thing before, it's amusing at least.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people will spend time on game-specific forums to tell OTHER people that they are wasting their time working on game-specific projects. Don't they have better things to spend their precious time on?

The game is not dead.. whatever you mean with dead. I will say, the day no one plays this game, and no one cares about writing / answering on thread its dead... as long as someones plays it, and bother writing on threds as this its "alive".. soooooOO just play and have fun.. dont whine or whatever about dead game xD!
