I found this a rather well done job, but it's not practical at all. Find it a bit hard to fill in some public rotation gap somewhere in any major played server. It's just not playable to get the action thrill we are used to! Freedom of movement is quite necessary and this map is weapon stricted, won't be able to see every weapon rotated on it.. It looks amazing tho since you used action related textures, would just be a mess if you'd used baseq2 ones.
Congrats for the good job here but I'm sad to say that it won't be a map I'd put on rotation and eve feel a bit reluctant to have it on votelist!

I've god as my lollipop
i downloaded Police and tested it and yes/no its a indoors map but its fast and not that complicated to walk around.AssKick3r wrote:Looking at screens it seems like police
I know alot of ppl will whine about its too small.
yes its small, but i dont think its too small, there are not that many indoors maps not any new ones recently.
i played 3team 6on6on6 on time in aq2turnaus, im not sure whats small and whats big map. im 100% sure 4on4 cw work on btunnel cws are always different from public

Nicely done bail and dragoneye!
The look and mood of the map is great. Nice textures and lighting. And I like it when maps where Hand Cannon and Shotgun aren't totally useless. I think this map will be lots of fun to play, don't see that it's that small. Let me know if you're doing some post-playtesting sometime.
BTW: I get inspired every time I see a (good) new map. And I'm sure the other mappers do get inspired as well.

I like to play games, not watch them
Well it seems kinda nice but I'm afraid that cws would be quite annoying to play on that map as it seems to be with most of the indoor maps. Depends on the teams who are playing of course. Would be great in a weapontypewar for a hc map for example.
Then about textures... I don't mean to whine and this isn't directed only for you two but I just don't get it when ppl go through the trouble to use .tga .jpg or .png textures and then leave 'em to be the same size as the .wal ones. That quite much destroys the whole point of these nicer textures. I mean yes, you get extra colors and it looks better, quite much in the best cases actually. But the whole point, imo, is to make the textures at least double the size of the original .wal texture. For example a 128x128 .wal texture should be combined with a .jpg/png/tga texture at least of size 256x256. Since q2 then forces this larger texture into the same area as the smaller .wal one the result is a lot sharper texture especially when viewed at a closer range.
