Connection refused @ Catch & Peliportti

Hi!

I've just strated playing AQ2 agains this summer after a 4-5 year break and i have a problem.

When i try connection to any Catch-gamerserver or any Peliportti server i get "connection refused" and its whired.

As i recall this is what you get when u are banned, but i am not sure.
But as i said, i havent been playin for about 4 years, catch didn't even exist then, so i cant be banned.

Everything is working perfektly well when i took my computer to my friends apartment, so it shouldn't be anyting wrong with my install, setup or computer. I have changed my router, I have tried to change IP, but i havn't got a new working one from my ISP yet so can't trie that...

Any ideas

Might be that ip range which includes you is banned. Try contacting one of the admins in #aq2admins to check that out. Try connecting to other servers that are under control of these admins as well..

Bah seems like their page is offline, try connecting to one of the z0r servers

you use r1q2 or aprq2? i had the same problem but it was with r1q2 (some problem about config i guess)

Just go to IRC and query nufan or some other Finnish admin of those peliportti servers and tell them your ip. Best and fastest way to solve it.

Dont know did anybody say but "Player" or "Aq2inst_player" nicks cant join Peliportti. :p

Ah, i have the same problem !

Started playing aq2 a few weeks ago, with several months of break. And it worked fine the first day, then suddenly. Connection refused.

and I still cant join the catchgamer servers. but i can join some finnish ones
