[MM]aq2lite 1.34 installer - try it out and give feedback

bump-digi-digi-digi-bump-digi-bump

So I've made some improvements on the installer and re-released it.

Changes: ctf should now work correctly, removed 1 map (bwcity2), ~10 texture fixes and some player skin fixes.

removed the download links. they were out of date.

1.34 released. I dare you to find something wrong with it.

Based on my brief testing only the couple of the ctf skins are not anticheat compatible.

Yes.

The winner can choose the prize of his/hers liking from the following selection: virtual cookie or gold star.

Things that do not qualify for winning:
-Missing sound\tng sounds ("excellent", "accuracy" and others). They are muted on purpose.
-esc->game->easy/medium/hard cries about a wrong password. Makimiehet.mine.nu dm server is currently in hibernation. If for some reason I happen to revive it at some point in the future esc->game->easy will work again.
-Typos in the .txt files or in the autoexec.cfg's descriptions.

The winners will be announced in this thread when/if they are found.

No purchase necessary. If you are 13 years or older and have access to a personal computer with Internet access, you are eligible to compete for prizes. If you've never tried anticheat before and you are using a little too eager antivirus then the following quote from http://antiche.at might be just the one for you:

Some anti-virus software may report an unknown / heuristic detection within the anticheat.dll file. This is a false positive caused by the way the .dll is packed and can be safely ignored.

At the moment this does not qualify you for a gold star.

AVG 8.0 free - false positive

Got AVG and get a false positive for the anticheat.dll so the damn thing wont start up? Well I did up until now.

Open AVG and double-click on Resident Shield, open Manage Exceptions and check the box that says Use excludes for the Resident Shield, then choose the box Add Path and just add your Quake2 folder.

I think that does the trick.
