Sovnig: you had a couple of ideas there that could actually work pretty well if the mapper manages to pull it off right... a zoo.. hmm... now that WOULD be fun imo at least..

The beach/paradise could be really fun to make as well if one manages to keep it small enough to be able to add enough detail to make it look decent. And of course making it playable as well :)

Thanks for the ideas :)

6. : An abandoned zoo would be cool too, though it'd take a great deal of imagination to make it work like a proper aq2-map tho[/quote]

Why abandoned? :( It would be cool to shoot elephants and other harmless, furry animals during a cw :I

Check out Greydeath's Egyptian Temple (etemple and etemple2) m0rg. Not many traps though.

X-Com level! Someone has to do this! I think I had a player model that looked just like a sectoid. Would make it more authentic to play with the sectoids vs some blonde dudes. But then it would be weird if the sectoids would spawn into the x-com landing craft.

Other games might offer some ideas too.. how about a map based on the first level of Super Mario Bros? O_o

Ive played that map at Unreal Tournament and it was pretty fun actually. :)
It was bigger than that aq2version. That aq2version seems too small to be played well.

That looks really good, although it might hurt your eyes if you play it regularly.
