eeh? You could easily run a q2 server on a 1mbit connection without it lagging as long as the latency is low and the server is fast enough (read: has a powerful enough processor) q2 doesn't use much bandwidth at all, remember that it was designed for modem players...

Then my 100 mbit feels a bit overkill :)

hehe :) well it is if you're not running anything else on it :)

then again, there USUALLY is a connection between high bandwidth and low latency in practice, but such a link doesn't neccessarily have to exist...

In Denmark TDC own all internet cables.
So TDC choose the price for other IPS.

The maximum is 8000 Kbit/s then you boost! (For a week only)
In amstadam you can get 250 000 Kbit/s.

So, Fuck TDC O_o

who told you that? Only thing to get over the 20mbit here is to have a big company or on universities and stuff. For.ex. at my school they have about the 75-80 mbit. Never heard about someone having higher than 20mbit at home here. So im really wondering on what your meaning is based.

Well, if you want to use money on internet connection I believe you can
get as fast connection as you said your school has. You just need to make a 'special' deal with the connection provider.

but 75-80mbit still isnt 250.000 Kbit ;) still a big difference. But do you seriously think people will spend more than 500 euro / month for such a connection AT home?
