[LAN] Events in Portugal since '98

Hi! I've been around this game since (looks like ever) the old days.
I'll create a series of threads/topics to show up events made in Portugal. This is to try a integration of our community onto what's beeing made elsewhere.
For what I think, it's a bit of a shame to 'ignore' what's beeing made on this side, since we can sure provide a bit more for the European Action Community. Everyone counts when we are prone to extintion...

So, this was the first major event done in Portugal. 1998 was an Hi peak to play AQ2, Clans such as STR, DW, GOD, ETA, TRC were in the highlights. Some of these clans still exist, some have come to an end but players are still active.

These photos are from an (and only registry) Hi8 Camcorder and now passed to divx so the actual pics are caps. Mind the quality. Since everybody filmed and not rly every1 knew how to operate the cam, this movie is almoust all with nightvision ;D

We had several more between 2000 and 2004. Some I've registry of, some not. Every year occured at least one (Easter and/or Christmas) with the participation of at least 60 AQ2 players. Most of them have drop out the scene unfortunatly. But newones always come!

By 2001 I tried another shot of what was made in 1998 even going to national media...

No records of this one, counted with ~50 ppl.

So, I've been absent since 2001 from organizing stuff but this year as the community as suffered some major modifications decided to unite the Action Community in a Lan Party called UAC (Uniting Action Community). Altought this was a Portuguese gathering, I invited foreign players as well but unfortunatly due to mittiganting circunstances they couldn't come.

In this lan we had several events such as 2v2 tournament with prizes, laserquest...
Fully provided with 24h open bar and sponsored by informatic's relatted companies.
