European AQ2 LAN

Hi ppl!



after just having had a chat with some really nice danes i realized how cool this european aq2 scene actually is. a bunch of ppl playing a single game for like 6 years now.. of course there are many conflicts between the players, but i think this scene is one of the nicest there are, and it has often been the basis for some real friendships.



i dunno why exactly, but i came to the conclusion that it would be really cool to have all (or as many as possible) those nice ppl at one place for some days to just talk about "the good old times", or just to play some nice aq2 ..





what do you think about it? like it or not? would something like this really be possible? does anybody besides me really want a lan like that? :)



i think it would be like a really nice "monument" for the great time we had. (at least i had)



i'd really like to hear your opinions about this one. thanx.

Well - it's a very nice idea, but it takes a lot of work & money and so on. If someone would do an effort to get it rollin' - it might be possible 8)

Yea.. it would be great.. like NAQ huhuhu! And it would of course be located in Denmark again.. :) Then we might even be so lucky as to avoid the Finns completely.. ;)

Yeah NAQ would be great. I was there back in 99 or 00. cant remember :)

Really nice LAN :)

And offcourse located in denmark or maybe Malmö in sweden or gothenborg ? :p Gothenborg might be the best place to have it.. Closest place to many ppl i guess :)

I'm glad you bring the subject up Mirror!

I've been dying for a new lan. Everytime I talk to my buddy Arild about the old NAQ-lan I just wish there would be a new one booked in my scheadule.



But as Hvalen said. There will be alot of work to make this happen.

I will be there!

And yes, I really think the LAN should be in denmark. And if i would decide, in the old NAQ-location(Aalborg)

That was where we were, right?

He is talking about a EUROPEAN lan and not a scandanavian one. I would suggest Denmark or Germany since its more central.



There are also people in Italy, Portugal, Austria and Slovenia playing AQ. I don't know if they are reading the forums, if so respond.



Further you have the UK, Norway, Sweden, Finland and off course My own country Holland :D



Wich could also be a suggestion since a lot of druggies are playing aq. COuld be a reason for people to come to the lan :P



Hope i named all the countries. Can't recall that other countries have very active communities atm.

the biggest community is in scandinavia. or in finland to be more specific... so any area outside southern denmark is not an option according to me.

But... my guess it will be blah :) No one will do anything about it...

well, of course there's a lot of work to do.



first of all we could do some kinda poll, to find out how many ppl would visit this LAN, and which countrys they are from.

then a second poll, to find out how many ppl would come to a LAN in denmark or north germany.

then we could try to find some nice location for it.



there could be specific orgas for every country, some kind of "contact persons" or so. would be easier to orga then.



another prob is the date. when shall all that take place? summer? prolly the time when most gamers have the time for such a trip.

how long? 3 days?





erm yes. i think the best start would be a poll.

Sounds great. I`m for North Germany :D It would be nice to meet ppl who keeps AQ in Europe and Scandinavia these days ... AQ2 4 ever right? :hail:
